Baby Play Area

Hey there!

So as Jensen is getting a bit bigger and starting to be more aware of us and his surroundings, we’ve got him some toys to stimulate him. But I didn’t just want them out randomly, I wanted to make a corner just for him with all of his play things.

When he was born we were gifted a voucher for Asda, we used it to buy him the play gym and also a beautiful dinosaur all-in-one with a spiky hood – which he looks adorable in. We then brought him a tummy time roller from mamas and papas, but he’s too small for it at the moment and he doesn’t quite know what to do when we put him on it and he just rolls forward and headbutts the floor 😂

My aunt brought us these beautiful star baskets, I think from TK-maxx, and we filled them with the second-hand toys we were given from Chris’ mum. He has soft toys and rattles, some that light up and make sounds and some teething toys. I can’t wait for him to be able to play properly and for us to interact with him.

He also has a joie petite city bouncer which he’s had since birth. He loves it and will have at least one of his naps in it. I brought it off of online4baby.com, as well as his cot and dresser and carseat (amazing website, I highly recommend it), and I’m so glad I did as he’s obsessed with it.

Also in his play area, I’ve set aside some space for his nappy caddy. I’ve got one for downstairs as it’s so much easier than having to walk all the way upstairs just to change his nappy and come back down.

Inside is: size 1 pampers premium nappies, mamia sensitive wipes from Aldi, nappy sacks, aveeno baby lotion, baby dove lotion, a roll up nappy mat, teething rings, hand sanitiser, hand moisturising cream, sudocrem, tissues, and a tommee tippee healthcare kit.
Inside the health kit is: nasal aspirator, nail scissors, under arm thermometer, two nail files, a toothbrush, baby safe nail clippers, soft bristle brush, and a comb.

I refill his caddy up at the end of the week, or earlier if needed, and clean his nappy mat every other day due to explosions!

I hope you’ve liked this little insight to our play area! Send me any tips for things I can add as he gets older, it would be much appreciated 😊
