So one of the projects I’ve been wanting to do is sort out my front room. As it’s the main room in our house, it gets very messy and it’s all I seem to see š
So when Boyo was down for his morning nap, I started putting things in boxes and putting away washing that’s been sat on the table for days waiting to be sorted. I’ve had collectable pop figures on my shelves that we’ve been collecting for the last few years, but we decided to put them away in storage. The shelves now have a few memorable items in each cube, a more minimalist approach.

I then moved the table into a more central position so that all of the chairs are easily accessible. I then took out our plates that we brought when we first moved into our house, which are too big for our cupboard so it doesn’t shut properly, and displayed them on the table.

I then found a box of vanilla potpourri, that I’ve been waiting to use, and put it on a display plate, it smells amazing! I feel so much more proud of the house that I live in and I cannot wait to be able to share it with my friends and family when this lockdown is finally over.

Another project that Chris started was making a outdoor bin area to clear out our outdoor cupboard. He used the old trellis from our broken fence and measured it out to fit in our little garden, then attached it to the porch post. We plan on changing the stones to plum slate to match the other front gardens in our cul-de-sac, then painting the wood white to match the porch.
We’ve moved the recycling bins out and we’re going to buy an outside bin for our blue bin bags to go into, as, since having a baby, we have a lot more going into our bags!
I’ll keep you all updated on any other projects we plan on doing!
